This website offers a selection of videos of ELT classrooms as observation materials for English language teacher education. The lessons represent current English language teaching and were offered by professional teachers in genuine teaching context.
About us
This video resource for teacher educators and student teachers of ELT was developed by Dr Julia Huettner at the University of Southampton with funding from the Higher Education Academy.
This resource aims to address the need of student teachers to observe as much professional practice as possible, while accessing classrooms can be difficult in many situations. All teachers were asked to act naturally and run a normal class - whatever that may be - so these are lessons that are not modelled to represent a particular method or practice, but I hope will offer much scope for pre-service and in-service teachers for discussion with their teacher educators.
